Dr. H. Gramespacher has more than 18 years experience in the energy business. During more than 15 years he gained experience in power cables and cable accessories. He was working for international companies in Germany and Switzerland and has project experience in Europe, East Asia, Middle East and North America. He is co-author of the book: "Application Guide for High Voltage Accessories" published 2012. The reviewed second edition was published 2015.
Dr. H. Gramespacher was also responsible for all insulating and conductive materials in high voltage cables and high voltage accessories up to a voltage of 500 kV. In addition he investigated failures in power cables and the accessories all over the world.
In his career he participated in an international working group at CIGRE and developed new products and materials for cable accessories. His most important contribution was the development of non-linear electrical materials based on micro-varistor filled polymers. Together with two co-inventors he received a world wide patent for this invention in 1997.
Dr. H. Gramespacher studied physics. He received his PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich). For his research at that institute he was awarded with the Medal of the ETH Zurich.
